Enjoy the rental all day long with no interruptions in schedule 

Pozo Izquierdo is the most famous windsurfing beach in Gran Canaria and one of the most famous in the world. For more than 20 years, windsurfers from all over the world have traveled to Pozo Izquierdo. The consistency of the Trade winds, the local hospitality, the good weather and the presence of the best riders in the world, make the beach of Pozo Izquierdo an excellent destination for windsurfing. If you want to have a reliable forecast during your vacations, come to Gran Canaria, come to Pozo Izquierdo and take your windsurfing to another level.

Pozowinds is located in a privileged place, just 50 meters from the beach. It's well known for the strong wind and wave conditions, where we offer you the newest windsurfing equipment rental. Everything you need for windsurfing is available in the store, from boards and sails to the latest accessory you can imagine.

The Trade winds (northeast direction) blow day after day almost all year round, making sure more than 300 windy days a year. This exceptional spot is where windsurfing legends learned, such as the Ruano sisters, Julia Pasquale, Björn and Liam Dunkerbeck, Alessio Stillrich, Victor Fernandez, Philip Koster, Marino Gil...

Mobile windsurfing center in a flat water paradise

Gran Canaria is not only Pozo Izquierdo, so Pozowinds has vehicles that provide you with all the equipment in other spots for all levels. We are usually located in a flat water place that is only 5 kilometers from the beach of Pozo Izquierdo, called "Bahía de Formas".

The wind is always a bit lighter than in Pozo, and it's always flat, what makes this spot a perfect place for slalom, freestyle, freeride and especially for beginners. Bahía de Formas, is perfect for intermediate levels too, here you can practice and improve your skills in an excellent environment, with the best equipment and advice.

Bahía is a point of easy access, accessible to all levels, where the fourteen times World Champion Björn Dunkerbeck goes for slalom training.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS

For the rental of Windsurfing equipment:

  • Will the sails be ready? You will not waste a second of your time, all the equipment will be ready for you a few meters from the beach.
  • What if I prefer to windsurf in another spot of the island? We will get ready the material so that you can take it with you without any problem.
  • I'm not sure if my level is enough to sail in Pozo? Don't worry, we can make an assessment with our instructors in Bahía de Formas.
  • What sail and board will I need? Our experienced professionals will recommend you the best choice according to your level and conditions.
  • Does the rental include harness and wetsuit? The rental price includes everything you require for windsurfing, in Pozo and Bahía. We have different sizes and models for everyone.
  • What happens if the forecast fails? We have Surf & Paddle boards included in the windsurfing price rental. We also have electric bikes for rent.
  • Are the rental booms Slim? We have the new AL360 slim carbon, 25 mm tube diameter, perfect for the most delicate hands that will appreciate it.
  • What lines are available? Here at Pozo we are using 28 and 34/36 harness lines. In case you would like to use shorter lines, we recommend bringing your own lines.
